Aghamiri

Seyed Mohammad Amin Aghamiri has been the executive director and head of the National Center for Cyberspace since March 2023. He was elected by members of the Supreme Council of Cyberspace as its secretary, and after receiving approval from the Supreme Leader, he was formally appointed by former President Ebrahim Raisi.

In his decree, Raisi tasked Aghamiri with expanding the national intranet, reviewing internet restriction policies with an emphasis on religious and revolutionary values, and countering "intellectual and cultural attacks" from adversaries. He is the brother of Seyyed Hassan Aghamiri, a defrocked cleric, and the son-in-law of Mohammad Javad Larijani.
